View Growing Seeds Indoors
After reading a slew of articles and research papers on seed planting, I came up with a list of reasons why seeds grow better in a controlled environment.
By planting indoors, you protect the seeds from the harmful substances prevalent outdoors. You can have a more active role in making sure the seeds start well.
An enclosed environment protects seeds from birds and other creatures that might feed on them, especially during the close of winter. Planting indoors will give the seed an opportunity to grow without becoming some animal's lunch.
Not only protection from birds and small animals, but from bugs as well. Bugs are notoriously known for munching holes on leaves, making young plants look like a war-torn fatigue. Give seeds a better chance of becoming a full-grown, useful plant by keeping them inside the house for a few months.
The beauty of starting indoors is that you don't have to wait for the right condition to get your garden growing. You already have a two month head start from those who chose the outdoors. If you live in an area with a slightly shorter growing season, growing indoors will allow you to grow plants that are incapable of growing within the normal growing period.
Growing plants inside the house is as beneficial to the plant as to the people living inside the house. Plants filters the air and provides an all-year-round feel of spring inside the home, solving the problem of cabin fever for many people.
